Current transformer structure principle

1, The ordinary current transformer structure principle is relatively simple, by the mutual insulation of the primary winding, secondary winding, core and frame, shell, terminals and other components.

Its working principle and transformer is basically the same, a winding turns (N1) less, directly in series in the power line, a load current (I1) through a winding, the alternating flux induction generated by proportionally reduced secondary current (I2); secondary winding turns (N2) more, and instruments, relays, transmitters and other current coils of the secondary load (Z) in series to form a closed circuit.


As the primary winding and secondary winding have equal number of amperage turns, I1N1 = I2N2, current transformer rated current ratio:. Current transformer actual operation in the load impedance is very small, the secondary winding is close to the short-circuit state, equivalent to a short-circuit operation of the transformer.

As the core type current transformer does not have a primary winding, its ratio according to the primary winding through the number of turns of the transformer core to determine the number of turns of the core, the smaller the ratio; conversely, the fewer the number of turns of the core, the larger the ratio, the rated current than: I1 - core a turn when a rated current; n - -number of turns.


3, special type current transformer structure principle


(1) multi-tap current transformer multi-tap current transformer primary winding unchanged, in the winding of the secondary winding, increase a few taps, in order to obtain a number of different ratios. It has an iron core and a fixed number of turns of the primary winding, its secondary winding with insulated copper wire around the set on the core of the insulating cylinder, the different ratio of the tap out, connected to the terminal block, each tap set their own terminals, so that the formation of multiple ratios.

(2) Multi-ratio current transformer Multi-ratio current transformer and multi-tap current transformer, although both by adding multiple sets of secondary winding to achieve different ratios, but the multi-ratio current transformer secondary winding is divided into two (or more) turns of different, independent winding, to meet the same primary current case of different ratios, different accuracy level needs.
